From our point of view we try to work for children and we are trying to develop a new pedagogical teaching method for all of our students. The focus is on the children respectively their nutrition and therefore the pedagogical aspect concerning
a) our students as well (science department, pedagogical department, domestic department)
b) the children (1. We want to teach them how to live a healthy life; 2. We want to develop the children’s consciousness concerning these topics. These aspects are suitable to our students as well).

Basically, the project EuPeNu20 is about the pedagogic implementation of the topic nutrition in elementary education. We want to achieve that different types of school from different areas concentrate on nutrition and have an inspiring influence on each other because of the exchange of different perspectives. The expert as well as the educator and the child as the final recipient of our project who is being taught by the educators – all connected by home economics. All the involved schools have dealt with the challenge of unhealthy nutrition of our students for a long time. Healthy nutrition seems to become an international problem which is already “virulent“ during childhood. The detailed needs of the project are diverse. One the one hand healthy nutrition is propagated everywhere. One the other hand healthy food is mostly not part of our every-day-life (e.g. diabetes, overweight, cardiovascular diseases) which leads to the problem of the economy as a whole that a relative minority lives a healthy life whereas the majority of our society does not. As a result, there is individual burden and stress (e.g. diseases) and there is a burden on society as well (e.g. costs of the health insurance providers). The aim of this project is the synthesis of several aspects: Research and pedagogic implementation of home economics aspects.
Both of the grammar schools , Szent Laslo Gymnazium (HUN) and Lycée général et technologique Auguste Béhal (France) work on the above mentioned subjects but lack the necessary multipliers for the pre-school sector in their specialised classes (e.g. biology, chemistry). The BBS Donnersbergkreis (Germany) and BAFeP 7 (Austria) educate educators who should sensitise children to healthy nutrition at a very young age. At the same time they are lacking highly qualified participants but they have the methodical professional skills. The BBS Donnersbergkreis as well as the BAFeP 7 Vienna cooperate with a local kindergarten. The Zespół Szkół Nr 1 im. Legionów Polskich (Poland) provides the household tasks in their specialised classes and will be responsible for the implementation of these household tasks. All in all, there is a division of responsibility with regard to methodological-didactical aspects depending on the partners‘ competence.
